Recent Press: Some Black Jews feel more ostracized from Jewish communities post-Oct. 7, survey finds

The Forward writer Hannah Feuer interviewed Black Jewish Liberation members about our survey of Black Jews’ experiences in Jewish spaces and increasing feelings of ostracization after October 7, 2023, largely related to disagreements around Israel and Gaza. 


One survey taker shared, “What I have witnessed is more scrutiny of Black Jews. There is an ongoing question as to whether or not we will stand up and be ‘real Jews’ which means aligning with whoever’s politics is judging us.”
